The idea
Ohmsby explores a more personal visual direction for a trade website. The opening introduces home electrical work in plain language, with room to request a quote or explore the services. The rest of the page connects installations, repairs and lighting with examples of the spaces those jobs affect.
Design direction
A cut-out electrician portrait sits on a warm cream background, framed by loose, hand-drawn accents. Green serif headings and orange buttons give the brand a friendly character. The page uses the contrast between simple text areas and practical project photography to keep a steady visual rhythm.
The visitor journey
The service section separates installation, troubleshooting and lighting work. Project entries then show examples such as a switchboard upgrade, kitchen wiring and living-room lighting. Articles and the quote section give visitors further places to explore or begin a conversation about their own property.
Design review
The illustration-like treatment of the portrait is what makes the design memorable. It gives the business a face without relying on a generic full-width stock image. The project section backs up that personality with specific examples of the kinds of electrical work the website presents.
